Garey Vance Fowler

Garey Vance Fowler, age 72, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on March 30, 1953, in Oklahoma City to Floyd and Mildred Fowler. Garey grew up in the Yukon and Oklahoma City areas, where he built lifelong friendships and deep roots in the community.

Garey married the love of his life, Geneva Fowler, on November 17, 1989, and together they shared many years of devotion, companionship, and their faith. Garey and Geneva were faithful members of Vandament Avenue Baptist Church in Yukon, Oklahoma, where his faith was a guiding force throughout his life.
A dedicated mechanic in the body shop industry, Garey was known for his strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and pride in every vehicle he worked on. His craftsmanship reflected not only his skill, but his character.

Outside of work, Garey embraced life with passion and adventure. He loved riding his motorcycle, camping, and spending time outdoors. Family reunions and 4th of July gatherings were especially meaningful to him, as they brought laughter, connection, and cherished many family memories. Garey was also a proud member of a local bowling league for many years, where he enjoyed sharing that pastime alongside his wife, Geneva.
Garey is survived by his brother, Arliss Fowler and wife Sherry, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geneva Fowler; his brothers, Mark Fowler and Kevin Fowler; his sister, Gena Fowler; and his parents, Floyd and Mildred Fowler.

To honor Garey's life, family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Sunday, February 15th, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 16th, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Yukon Cemetery.
