Frances Marie (Gray) Owen

Frances Marie Owen, our beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at the venerable age of 100. Born on August 16, 1924, in Ivanhoe, Texas, Frances was a beautiful spirit whose love for her Lord and Savior illuminated the lives of those around her.

Frances was married to her best friend, Allyn, a bond that exemplified love and partnership. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, from whom many fond memories and traditions have blossomed. Her pride in her children, Jo Carroll Reid, Jeani Hudson, Roger Owen, Donna Anderson, and Gary Owen was evident in every story she shared, each one a testament to her unwavering support and undying love.

A devoted homemaker, Frances found her greatest joy in cultivating a warm and loving home. Her influence extended beyond her own family, touching the lives of many others. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and teaching Bible Studies. Frances is survived by her children, Jo Carroll Reid, Jeani Hudson, Roger Owen and wife Janet, and Gary Owen, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manly and Arra Gray; her 12 brothers and sisters; her loving husband, Allyn Owen; daughter, Donna Anderson; granddaughter, Michelle Owen; and great grandson, Ryan Janbolat.

Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Frances during a public viewing held at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary, 201 E Main St, Yukon, Ok, from 4-8 pm, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. A graveside service at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Ok, will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2 pm. All who knew Frances are encouraged to join in to celebrate a life well- lived, filled with faith, love, and a deep devotion to family.

As we honor her memory, may we carry forward the love she radiated and the values she embodied. Frances Marie Owen will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
