Elsy Chacko Obituary

On February 12th, 1961, Elsy Joseph (Rosamma) was born in Kaithaparampu, Quilon, Kerala, India. She was the sixth child of her parents, the late Majors. K.H. and Sara Joseph. After completing her Bachelor of Science, she studied nursing in The Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar Cantt, Punjab. She served 10 years in Jalandhar as a lieutenant in the Indian Army. On September 30th, 1995 she was wedded to Joseph Chacko in Kerala, India. For the past 28 years, she resided in Oklahoma City working at various hospitals and nursing homes before she and her husband resigned their secular jobs in 2012 to begin full time ministry. She was a devoted believer and member of IPC Hebron Oklahoma City and founded the Church of World Revival & World Revival & Development Ministries Foundation with her husband in 2012. She dedicated her life to fasting and prayer and was passionate about serving the sick in her community and worldwide.

Rosamma loved singing and spending time with her family. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh could fill any room with joy. She made sure that no one would leave her home on an empty stomach and cooked delicious meals, especially for her nieces and nephews who she took care of like her own children. Her natural warmth and caring personality allowed her to connect with so many people. She was beautiful both inside and out.

On the evening of May 20th, 2021 our beloved Rosamma was promoted to glory. As apostle Paul states in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

Rosamma was survived by her husband of 26 years Joseph Chacko, and her seven siblings: the late Mrs Mary Enose and family, Mr. K. Unni and family, Mr. Sam Joseph and family, the late Mrs. Lilly Titus and family, Mrs. Lissy Isac and family, Mr. William Joseph and family, and Mr. John Joseph and family, as well as her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. We the family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the church and community for the overwhelming love and support.
