ELIZABETH IDUCULA PANICKER was born in Kundara in Kerala, India on June 6, 1932. She entered into heavenly rest on March 18, 2020, in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Elizabeth was born to Iducula Geevarghese and Saramma and grew up in an agricultural family with her elder brother C. Varghese and older sister Anny. She later became a school teacher in Quilon until 1954.
Elizabeth was married to Oommen Varghese Panicker in 1954 and together they migrated to Bombay and had three children. She was a very active member in the church. Elizabeth later immigrated to the USA in 1986 and joined her son and family with the Indian Full Gospel Mission Church in Bethany, Oklahoma. Soon afterwards, she followed the Lord's commandment by taking water baptism. In 1997, Elizabeth suffered from a heart attack and would later require cardiac surgery. By God’s grace she made a full recovery and was soon back to enjoying her favorite pastimes--gardening, hospitality, cooking, caregiving, and researching history.
Elizabeth was a devout Christian and the spiritual heart of the family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. When her health would permit, she enjoyed taking walks and fellowship with other believers. She modeled Christian lifestyle and was a witness to many regarding her faith.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Solomon and wife Mercy, daughters Akkamma and Anny, and four grandchildren, Christina, Charles and wife Sheba, Peter, and Bejoyse. She will surely be missed by all who knew her as she has left for her heavenly abode.
