Edwina A (Grunewald) Bilderback

Edwina Bilderback passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023, two days before Mother's Day. Edwina was born in Sayre, Oklahoma on August 26,1940. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Dale Bilderback, her father Edward Grunewald, and her mother Bonnie Grunewald of El Reno.

Edwina loved caring for patients in need as a Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, and an Emergency Room Technician at Hillcrest and Deaconess Hospital (where she worked the majority of her career) in Oklahoma City. Her Hillcrest co-workers commented on how special she was and how much they appreciated the emotional support she provided to those who needed help learning the ropes of health care.

She had a love of the outdoors, camping, and participating in girl scouts (20+ years). She also loved raising horses and other animals on the farm with her family. She had a passion for her family and bringing everyone together to celebrate life's events. She was blessed to be surrounded by family nearby where she lived in Yukon, Oklahoma and had a special bond with her Chihuahua Davey in her later years.

Edwina is survived by her daughters Diana Conaway (husband Ron), Ginger Lewis, Penny Dennis (husband Todd), and Libby Malone (husband David). She had 11 grandchildren: Daniel Davis (wife Misty), Dustin Davis (wife Jenny), Lindon Hilton (wife Jessica), Katie Hilton, Brice Hilton, Christina Dennis, Austin English, Amanda Gargani (husband Andrew), Dakota Malone, Brandi Mosley (husband Travis) and Jennifer Richmond (husband Beau). She is survived by 15 great-grandchildren: Blake Davis (wife Aubrey), Drew Davis, Grant Davis, Kate Davis, Avery Davis, Kaleb Hilton, Paisley Hilton, Lacey Hilton, Russel Hilton, Jacob Collins, Grace Gargani, Presley Richmond, Tenley Richmond, Coley Richmond, and PJ Mosley. She also had two great-great grandchildren: Kayson Nordstrom and Kade Nordstrom.

Edwina's life will be celebrated with a visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 4 - 8 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon. Her service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 10 AM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary with burial to follow at the El Reno Cemetery.
