Our sweet baby Eden Grace Warren bridged the gap between the love and safety of her mother's womb into the glory and joy of Jesus' presence on September 8, 2023.
We learned of Eden's sickness at her 12-week ultrasound appointment while in India. From that heart-breaking moment forward, every kick, punch and roll was savored and cherished all the more. Despite her diagnosis, Eden's life is valuable and so worthy of celebration. Though there is immense grief and longing to be her mommy and daddy on this earth, we rest in knowing our Eden Grace is now whole, healed and Home with the Father. We intentionally gave Eden Grace her name to reflect her story. Eden never had to experience the pain and suffering of this world because all she knew was what was true in the Garden of Eden - peace, provision, safety, and now unhindered face-to-face presence with Jesus. Eden's life makes us long to be in the Garden.
The first clear words our baby girl heard was, "Well done, my good and faithful servant, with whom I am well pleased." Eden is a faithful servant of the Lord.
When Belle came in matching pink PJs to meet her little sister, she loved poking Eden's chubby cheeks and wanted to play with her as any big sister would. Belle was such a good big sister throughout Eden's life. She was present with us at every appointment and step along the way. We waited 37 weeks to meet her. Now as our family is growing on earth as it is in Heaven, we look eagerly to that Day for our family to be whole and present together in Heaven. Even though this is true, there still remains a hole in our family and we feel her absence as an unbearable weight on our hearts. Language is insufficient to describe how we miss her and want to be with her. We mourn deeply, but not as ones without resurrection hope. We feel honored to be Eden's mom and dad and to steward her story for the rest of our lives.
Eden is survived by her parents, Grayson and Meghan Warren; big sister Belle; grandparents Emory and Sharon Warren and Paul and Christin Johnson; aunt Molly Johnson; uncles Holden Warren and Montgomery Johnson; and great grandmothers Janet Sewell and Sharon Johnson.
They will forever hold her in their love and memories.
Services are lovingly donated by the Sleeping Angels Foundation partnering with Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary.
