"For this child I prayed, and the Lord granted my request. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord." - 1 Samuel 1:27-28
The life of Eamon Bishop Orr began long before his first heartbeat. The love, hopes, dreams, plans, and prayers for a healthy baby were poured out over the last three years from Rachel and Derek Orr. When the joy of the first positive test turned to shock and devastation with a rare and incurable diagnosis, Rachel and Derek knew that their sweet boy was granted to them for an eternal purpose. The next 16 weeks were spent making as many memories as possible and cherishing each moment. This miracle baby touched more hearts in his 34 weeks on this earth than many do in their entire lives.
Eamon had bold personality traits from the start. His stubborn nature, lively response to music, love of showing off his profile, and affinity for chewing on his fingers were just some of the things his family fell in love with. He made it clear from the start that he was not to be underestimated and that strength served him well all his days.
On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, Eamon entered the world: in his own way, on his own time. He spent the next 24 minutes getting all the hugs, kisses, songs, cuddles, and love from his Mama and Dada. Precious time spent before he entered Heaven's Gates to be held by his Heavenly Father.
Eamon's legacy will live on in the hearts of many friends and family members who created special memories with him and his parents. Eamon joins his great-grandfathers Jack Owens and Bill Delp; and great-grandmother Betty Rozell. Those who count down the days when they will reunite with him include his parents Rachel and Derek Orr; grandparents Sheryl and Bruce Delp, and Nancy Orr; great-grandmothers Ann Owens, and Wynema Delp; aunts Vanessa and Lauren Delp, and numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends as close as family.
Eamon's life will be honored and celebrated in a very special way on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, at 11 AM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon.
