Diana Sue (McClung) Shurden-Coats

In loving Memory of Diana Sue Shurden-Coats born on Groundhogs Day, February 2, 1945 in Ponca City, OK to Forrest and Louise McClung and left this earth on June 22nd, 2021 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. Sue lived life to the fullest and loved BIG. She was a long time resident of Henryetta, OK where she raised her family and worked 30 years in partnership with Steve Shurden at Shurden Funeral Home. She married Hugh Coats on September 29th, 2012 and they resided in Oklahoma City until her heavenly departure.

Sue was known by all as the life of the party. She had a love for Elvis and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and playing blackjack. She knew when to hit and when to stay. She was a huge OU football fan and was dressed in full OU gear and tuned in every game day and she rarely missed an episode of Judge Judy. Sue loved spending time with friends and family and always ended a conversation with "I love you more!" She enjoyed spending Sundays and sharing candy with her mother-in-law Gay. She would tell her family and friends how lucky she was to have her man, Hugh, by her side, and that he was until her last breath.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Louise McClung, in-laws Leon and Gay Coats, and lifelong friend Judy Gray. She is survived by her son, Stephen Mark Shurden and wife Teresa of San Marcos, TX; daughter Cathy Sue Marchino and husband Jeff of McKinney, TX; step children Adrienne Coats and John Coats both of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Jennifer Cutrona and husband Joe and Jaimie Shurden of Wimberley, TX, and Reed, Trey and Paige Marchino all of McKinney, TX; sister, Dana Lee D'Board of St. Louis, MO and a brother Del Wayne McClung and wife Paula of Pryor, OK; life long funeral directer friend Gary Gray and family, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends
