David Ogle Obituary

David Lee Ogle passed unexpectedly from this life at age 67 on July 31, 2020, in Aurora, CO. He was born on December 28, 1952, to parents Jessie and Albert Ogle in Geary, OK. Learning to love the open road at an early age, he graduated from Geary High School in 1971. In his early 20s, he followed the call of the open road and started a career in the trucking industry. For the next 40 years, David lived and breathed the open road as he started his own trucking company. Between his long hauls, David spent his free time on the back of a motorcycle or in the driver’s seat of a corvette. He enjoyed riding with the Oklahoma City HOG Chapter and with other fellow Harley Davidson riders at various rallies across the country. Most of all, he was a proud Papa and loved his family.

David is survived by his wife René of the home; sons Mark Ogle and wife Sonja of Piedmont, and Jimmy Ogle and wife Brooke of OKC; sister Betty Ogle of Norman; mother-in-law Gay Eakes of Mustang; step-daughter Patricia Bowles of OKC; step-son Patrick Ming and wife Stacey of Aurora, CO; 11 grandchildren: Emma, Brody, Lily, Jackson, Sadie, Cyle, Alyce, Logan, Alex, Maris, and Jonothon; 2 great-grandsons Colt and Cain; and many other family members and friends. David is proceeded in death by brother Jimmy; grandson Lincoln Ogle; sister Joanne; and his first wife Sharon.

David's visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. His celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, with burial to follow at the Kansas Cemetery.
