David Hall, 76, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025 at home.
David George Hall was born on June 30, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to George and Dorothy Hall.
He attended John Marshall High School and later Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). Determined and hardworking, David put himself through pharmacy school by working part-time as both a bartender and a pharmacy technician.
In 1976, David met the love of his life, Sandy. They were married on July 24 of that year and shared 42 wonderful years together. David was known for his playful spirit and mischievous sense of humor-he especially loved teasing Sandy with surprise jump-scares or a perfectly timed car horn when she least expected it. It was his unique and loving way of making her laugh.
David and Sandy shared many passions, including their love for OU Sooner games, which they attended faithfully together. They were also proud members of the OKC Van Club and cherished the friendships and adventures that came with it-especially the memorable ski trips they enjoyed with the group. Their life together was full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.
Professionally, David began his career as a pharmacist at Albertsons before moving on to serve as the director of pharmacy at Mary Mahoney's Health Center.
When David's daughters were in high school, he kept himself active and engaged in the community. He practiced both Tae Kwon Do and Jiu Jitsu, immersing himself in the discipline and physical challenge of martial arts. Alongside a close-knit group of friends, he also refereed high school football games-something he absolutely loved and took great pride in. It was a role that combined his love for the sport with his commitment to youth and teamwork. And when he wasn't on the field or in the dojo, you could usually find him relaxing with a cold Coors in hand, snuggled up with his beloved dogs, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
David's greatest joy in life was his family. His wife and daughters meant the world to him, and when grandchildren arrived, his love only grew. He was the kind of man who would do anything for those he loved.
Though a dedicated pharmacist by profession, David was a free spirit at heart. A true hippie with a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, he found joy on the open road and in living life with passion and authenticity.
We find comfort in knowing that David is now reunited with the love of his life, his beloved granddaughter Addie, and his favorite pups-no doubt enjoying their company and riding motorcycles together once again.
He is survived by his daughter Meagan Hall; daughter Lindsay Dirk and husband DJ; granddaughter Gracelynn Dirk; grandson Brett Dirk; sister Marjie Bass and husband Bob; niece Robbie Hanna, nephews Clint Bass and Clay Bass; and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
He is preceded by his wife Sandra Jean (Sandy) Hall; granddaughter Adalynn Marie Hall Mendenhall; his parents; and his beloved dogs, Bentley and Dorothy.
He will be remembered for his wit, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family.
