Darrell Lightner Obituary

Darrell Paul Lightner II (Paul), beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on October 23, 1965, to Jimmie Kennard and Darrell Lightner, in Fort Bragg, NC.

Paul was a lover of music and was a talented, self-taught, guitar player. His favorite band was Oasis. He was a passionate fisherman, loved working in the yard, was a remote-control airplane enthusiast, and a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan. As a history buff, he spent time enjoying the History Channel.

Known for his hard work and dedication, Paul spent his career as a restaurant owner, supermarket manager and honed his skills, and truly excelled in his craft, at Blue Ribbon Roofing Company.

His infectious laughter, warm smile, and kind spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him. For the last several years Paul endured much physical pain and suffering as he battled several medical challenges. Through it all, he grew in his care and compassion for others.
