Lyndon “Craig” Campbell, affectionately and fittingly known as “Smiley,” a lifelong nickname he earned through his spirit and joy, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, just days after celebrating his 64th birthday. He was born on December 16, 1961.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel Dean Campbell and Doyle Victor Campbell, and by his brother, Daryl Victor Campbell, who passed in August of 2025.
He is survived by his three children, Christina Thetford, Alex Cash, and Andrew Campbell, and by his 11 grandchildren, who he loved unconditionally. Craig is additionally survived by his loving siblings, Randy Campbell, Kathy Lucas, and Jeffery Campbell; his sisters-in-laws, Caroline Campbell, Nita Campbell, and Wendy Campbell; his beloved Aunty Norma Sanders, his cousins, Brian Sanders and Blake Sanders and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many dear friends, some who stood beside him since childhood, and others who came later in life.
Craig honorably served in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge. Following his military service, he built a career of 20+ years as a professional ballroom dance instructor, a role that perfectly matched his charisma and joy for movement.
A man of deep faith, Craig devoted his life to Christ, striving to live out his beliefs through actions. He was passionate about charitable giving and he generously supported and volunteered with the food bank, often helping quietly and without seeking recognition.
Spunky, and always living in the moment, Craig was known for his perfectly timed humor, upbeat antics, and colorful personality. Whether through humor, guidance, or simply his presence, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He lived and loved fearlessly, filling every space he entered with laughter, warmth, and unmistakable energy.
