Connie Lock Obituary

Connie Jean Wallace Lock entered this world on November 18, 1955, as the 4th daughter to Robert and Billie Mae Wallace in Okmulgee, OK. Connie followed in her mother's footsteps as a seamstress, sewing for the community and creating family members' custom clothing. Connie met the love of her life, Frankie Lock, and the two married in 1978.

Connie and Frankie built a life where everyone knew their names by how their business Sonrise Heat and Air cared for others and their personal generosity: they would not only give you the shirts off their back but a bed to sleep in and a place to call home. Connie and Frankie took in Corey Curry in 1978 as their daughter and never looked back. Connie loved Jesus and made sure everyone knew about it, from singing old hymnals at the top of her lungs to picking up everyone to take them to church. She taught church classes, Sunday school, and hosted bible studies in their home. Connie wanted everyone to have a chance to know the Jesus who changed her life. After 14 years of infertility, Connie and Frankie welcomed their baby boy, Joey Lock, in 1992. From that moment on, he was her greatest passion. She supported him as a classroom parent to a sports mom; Connie never missed a beat.

The last few years, Connie could be found in her room watching cartoons and YouTube with her grand and great-grand babies. She found joy in rocking them and talking to them about Jesus. She would move mountains for those babies.

Connie received her Heavenly reward when she walked through those pearly gates and greeted her King face to face on February 24, 2025. Connie is proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Billie Mae Wallace, sister Jan, and beloved husband Frankie Lock. She is survived by her daughter Corey Curry and husband JBob, son Joey Lock and wife Katie; grandchildren Haley Mckee and husband Sam, Kelli Curry, and Mykie Lock; great-grandchildren Isaiah Beard, Gunner Mckee, and Bailey Curry; goddaughter Emree Crinner; two older sisters, Donna Heaffley and Sharron Curry; and many nieces, nephews, and those she called family.

Connie's family would like to invite friends to a luncheon to honor Connie's life on March 1, 2025, at 11 AM at Okmulgee First Assembly. Donations may be given directly to the church or family in lieu of flowers.
