Carolyn Louise Brown, a beloved member of the Yukon, OK community, passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born on August 7, 1944, in Olustee, OK to Stella Butler and adopted by Travis Butler. Carolyn was the sister of Sonny, William, and Dusty Butler.
Carolyn's love and dedication for her family were evident throughout her life. She was happily married to Van Brown, and together they shared many beautiful moments. Carolyn was a caring mother to her two daughters, Rhonda LaCroy and Peggy Longoria, and a loving stepmother to Michael Brown and Rocky Brown. A proud grandmother, Carolyn cherished her grandchildren - Scott Burns and Janelle Vita; great-grandchildren - Raylee Burns, Slade Burns, Gabe Maxey, and Lydia Burns; and great-great-grandson - Caelyn Isaac Burns.
In her professional life, Carolyn excelled in customer service, dedicating her time and skills to Taco Mayo for over 40 years. She was highly regarded by her customers for her friendly demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Outside of work, Carolyn had a passion for arts and crafts. She delighted in creating homemade gifts filled with love and care. Crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, and word searches were among her favorite hobbies, allowing her to express her creativity and bring joy to those around her. She was known for her house always being immaculate.
A Graveside Service to honor Carolyn's life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Evergreen Cemetery located in Minco, OK, where Carolyn will be laid to rest next to husband Van Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects to a life well-lived.
Carolyn Louise Brown will forever be remembered for her compassionate nature and her dedication to making others happy. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
