Carolyn Adcock Obituary

Carolyn Adcock passed away on May 10, 2023, in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 81. Carolyn was born to parents Dettmer E Adcock and Helen L Adcock on September 30, 1941, in Gentryville, Missouri where she grew up among a very close and loving family.

Carolyn's early career consisted of working as a seamstress in the various textile factories in and around St Joseph, MO. Once she moved to Oklahoma, she built a career in the Health Care industry. She became a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and served those in need for over 30 years She was known for her care and dedication to her patients. Carolyn loved a good root beer float with friends and family, taking a weekend scenic drive through the country side, and attending OKC Dodger baseball games.

Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, sewing and gardening in her spare time. She put her love of sewing and serving others to use by making baby blankets and giving them away to expectant mothers.

Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly.

Carolyn Adcock is preceded in death by her parents, Dettmer and Helen, and her siblings Marion, Veronica and Dwaine.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Stacy and husband Dan of Edmond, Shannon of El Reno, and Shawn of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren: Maverick, Jessica, Sara, Joseph, Stormy, Brianna, Gabe, Bryce, Brighton, PD and Annubis; great grandchildren: Liam, Natalee, Marilyn; and siblings: Max, Eldon, Cathy and Mickey.

Carolyn was a strong, determined, hardworking woman who demonstrated her love in acts of kindness. Her example of living and loving is an inspiration to her family and will forever be in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to be part of her life.
