Carol Louise (Sauers) Kunzie

Carol Kunzie went home to Jesus on March 29, 2025, at age 79. Carol was born to Reynold and Ethel Sauers on May 2, 1945, in Denver, Colorado. She attended school in Englewood Colorado where she graduated from the class of 1963.

Carol met her husband, Larry Kunzie while she was in high school. They happened to be on a double date. However, they were not each other's date. Carol and Larry married on December 29, 1962. They had two children, Larry H Kunzie Jr, and Chantelle D Childers. Carol loved her family very much. They moved a few times before finally settling in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Carol retired from the corporate world in 2012. Never one to sit still for long, she went to work part time for Christ's Church of Yukon in the financial department. Carol spent over 20 years dedicated to the church retiring for a second time and holding various volunteer roles. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Carol was preceded in heaven by her husband Larry Kunzie, parents Reynold and Ethel Sauers, and her brothers Dwayne, Skip and Larry Sauers

Carol is survived by her sister Dee Pinkney and her husband Gary; her son, J R and his wife, Kellee; Her daughter, Charli and her husband Doug; her grandchildren, Jayson Childers and his partner Mario Padilla; Matthew Childers and his wife Zoe; Taylor Childers and his wife Kaitlyn; Kyle Kunzie, Kari Morsovillo and her husband Dakota, and Zane Kunzie; and her great grandchildren Owen, David, Michael, and Theo (due June 2025) Childers.

Carol's life will be remembered at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Christ's Church of Yukon, 620 W Vandament Ave, Yukon, Oklahoma.
