We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carol Dean Friesen-Hamar on September 13, 2023, at the age of 85. Carol was born on June 16, 1938, in Hobart, OK, to parents Herman McClure and Clara McClure. Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Carol dedicated her life to the field of education, working as a Reading Specialist at the Friesen Reading Clinic. Her passion for helping others learn and her commitment to improving literacy skills made a lasting impact on countless individuals throughout her career. With her master's degree in education, Carol was able to make a difference in the lives of many students.

Carol Dean Friesen-Hamar will be remembered as a dedicated educator, a cherished family member, and a beacon of knowledge and compassion. In honor of Carol's life, a memorial ceremony will be held at a later date to celebrate her accomplishments, memories, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
