Caidance Joy (Jones) Jones

Caidance Joy Jones was a fighter from the moment she was born on October 9, 2010 until the moment she took her Savior's hand and joined Him in Heaven on the morning of October 20, 2022, at age 12 years, 11 days.
Joy's extraordinary story began when she was born at 36 weeks' gestation, weighing just 4 pounds. Fearfully and wonderfully made in the Image of her Creator, Joy was born with more medical complexities than many of her doctors and nurses had ever seen in one child. She endured extraordinary medical procedures, including open heart surgery at 1 week old and another at 16 months of age. She had over 50 surgeries and procedures in 11 years.
Her parents, Michael and Angela Jones, answered God's call to foster care and Angela met Joy for the first time in the hospital when she was 9 months old. The quiet, withdrawn, serious baby came alive with smiles the first time she heard her mother's voice and an instant, holy bond was formed that would sustain Joy through a miraculous eleven years of spunk and sass. Just two days before being welcomed home to Heaven, Joy, who had been largely unresponsive for several days, sat up in bed demanding, "Get me out of here!" so she was moved to the living room where, despite being too weak to lift her hands, she insisted on having cereal saying, "THAT'S breakfast food!" and tapping on her tablet.
Joy leaves behind a loving family including her parents Michael and Angela, as well as sisters Kathryn, Abigail and Esther and brothers Jonathan, Joshua and Lucas. Her spunky zest for life inspired and encouraged people across Oklahoma and all over the world.
