Obituary

Brighton Kade Dodd, beloved and cherished son, brother and uncle, passed away on June 18, 2023 at the age of 21.

Brighton, known to his family as "Brightman," was the youngest of six children. Brighton was born April 19, 2002 in Oklahoma City to parents Brian and Shannon Dodd.

To know Brighton was to love Brighton. He had the ability to make you smile and laugh with his fun-loving personality. Brighton loved listening to all kinds of music, attending concerts, drawing, making music, playing musical instruments, being adventurous and spending time with family. Music was his passion, specifically playing guitar. He ventured on to playing the ukulele, keyboard, violin and harmonica.

Brighton loved his family and being the fun uncle. He brought so much joy, happiness and love to his family with his music, humor, and kind-loving spirit. After graduating high school in May of 2021, he decided to move to Colorado with his brother to find adventure and inspiration to continue to evolve and grow his music.

Brighton is preceded in death by grandmother Carolyn Adcock and Grandfather Kenneth Dodd.

Brighton is survived by his parents Brian and Shannon Dodd; brothers Joseph, Gabriel and Bryce; sisters Stormy and Brianna; nieces Natalee and Marilyn; and grandmother Patti Dodd.

Brighton was a sensitive, kind, talented, brilliant and beautiful soul that touched our lives in a way that can never be replicated or forgotten.
