Brenda Rackley, 70, beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana was called home to the arms of Jesus on April 17, 2021. She was born to Thurman and Opal Jean Oliver on August 22, 1950 in Cogar, OK. Brenda married Verl Rackley and they raised 3 children.
Brenda owned her own shop working as a beautician and serving her local community, for over 30 years. She was a homemaker, and excelled at being the best Nana, gardener, and family cook. She loved people, and never met a stranger. Her gift was compassion for people, as well as for animals. Stray cats and dogs were always fed and taken care of if they showed up at her door. She fed hungry grandkids, neighbors, and anyone else that had an empty stomach too. She was an example of a Christian woman with a loving and forgiving heart, who shone as a bright light for Jesus to her family and all who knew her. Brenda will be greatly missed!
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Opal Jean Oliver and her brother Jim Oliver. She is survived by her husband Verl of 53 years, daughter Dedra Carver and husband Marty of Bartlesville, son Cory Rackley and wife Tiffany of Tuttle, and son Colton Rackley and wife Holly of Minco; grandchildren, Tye & wife Cliffa, Chase & wife Abbey, Makenna & husband Marion, Kamryn, Kason, Dayken, Brooklyn, Jase, Caine, and Axton; 4 great grandchildren, Braxton, Adelynn, Kimber, and Carsten; brother Tim Oliver and wife Susan; niece Trena Settle and husband Jimmy and children Haden and Karley, who called her "Aunt" but she was so much more than that to them. As well as other neices, nephews, extended family and many friends who loved her dearly.
The viewing will be at Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 21 from 4:00-8:00 pm. A service celebrating Brenda's life will be held on Thursday, April 22 at Canaan Baptist Church, 17092 County Street 2730, Minco, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM.
