Billy Ruggles Obituary

Billy Dwayne Ruggles passed away on August 19, 2020, at the age of 77. Billy was born to parents Darl Ruggles and Ruby Williams on March 3, 1943, in Kirksville, MO. Billy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam and Indochina wars. Billy had three daughters, Viviana, Maria, and Marissela whom he loved to the ends of the earth. Throughout Billy's life, he was known for his patriotism and love for his country. He worked as a truck driver, traveling across the country. Billy also was a successful restaurant operator, owning several restaurants across Oklahoma (Billy’s Pony Station Café and Chickasha Coffee Shop). He was known for his stories and was truly a jack of all trades. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren, drinking coffee, watching western movies, and the news. He was very proud of his daughters and spoke highly of them. Billy will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.

Billy Dwayne Ruggles is preceded in death by his father Darl Ruggles, mother Ruby Williams, and sister Carol Peterson. Billy is survived by his daughters Viviana Skidmore and husband Andrew, Maria Ruggles and husband Troy Riley, and Marissela Ruggles; the mother of his children Rosa Spotts; brothers Jerry, Tommy, and Jimmy Ruggles; sisters Kay Warren, Shirley Benham, and Karen Campbell; seven grandchildren, and numerous friends. Billy's life will be remembered on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at 4:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 21 & 22, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. He will be laid to rest at Fort Sill National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
