Billy Dwaine Lawrence

Billy Dwaine Lawrence, age 88, died December 17, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Born in the Double Wells community in Jefferson County on January 29, 1936, he was a son of the late Levi Lawrence and Bertha Taylor Lawrence.
Mr. Lawrence was a retired truck driver and was employed by Roadway Trucking for many years. After his retirement he owned and operated his own trucking business in Oklahoma City. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a Mason, and an avid deer hunter.
His wife, Jeanette Courtney Lawrence passed away on March 11, 2022. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Courtney Reed; and two brothers, Ivan Lawrence and Royce Lawrence.
Survivors include his children, Lea Ellen Lawrence Reed (James) of Bryant and Jeff Lawrence of Oklahoma City; a sister, Nancy Lawrence Mullis of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Adam Reed (Amy) and Kelly Lawrence Weaver; and three great-grandchildren, Kayden Weaver, Austin Reed, and Andrew Reed.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, 11:00 a.m. in Phillips Cemetery in Jefferson County.
