Barbara Elaine (Luttrell) Stephenson

With heavy hearts yet joyful spirits, we announce the passing of Barbara Elaine Stephenson, who left this world on April 8, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on October 17, 1951, in Norman, Oklahoma, Barbara's life was a beautiful tapestry woven through love, artistry, and deep connections with family and friends. 

Barbara was the cherished wife of Marty Stephenson. Their journey together began August 16, 1969. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and lasting memories. As a devoted mother to Kimberly, Shelley, David, and Eric, Barbara was their unwavering champion, known for her enthusiastic whistles echoing through school events and activities. Her love extended to her role as Grannie, where she delighted in the joy of her seven grandchildren, always ready with a story, a hug, or a crafty creation.

Barbara's creative spirit shone brightly in her work, which reflected her generous heart and artistic talent. She was the proud owner of Aromatic Attic, where her handmade candles became treasured keepsakes for customers from around the globe. Later, her passion for event design blossomed into Balloon Blitz and Yard Card Blitz, where her artistry brought joy to countless celebrations.

A woman of deep faith and immense kindness, Barbara's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her as a devoted wife, loving mother, supportive grandmother, talented artist, and an unwavering friend.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 55 years Marty Stephenson; daughter Kimberly Bradley and husband DeNoah, daughter Shelley Hicks and husband Michael; son David Stephenson; son Eric Stephenson and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Jessica O'Donnell and husband Chris, Hannah Bradley, Bethany Bradley, Lucas Stephenson, Ethan Stephenson, Caleb Stephenson  and Terra Lind.

Barbara Elaine Stephenson is preceded in death by her mother Mary Ann Hummer; father Hurschel Luttrell; four sisters; and one brother.
