Barbara Rudolph Obituary

Barbara Jean Rudolph passed away on August 31, 2021, at the age of 78. Barbara was born to parents Dalton and Imogene (Walker) Fuller on August 15, 1943, in Richmond, California. The comedian of the family, she loved to make her parents and sisters Doris and Jeanette laugh. Her silliness also got her into trouble at times because she was also on the receiving end of discipline quite often. Her first professional job as a teenager was a tech at a local pharmacy. It built an early foundation of strong work ethics and taught her professional customer relations that would continue to benefit her in her lifelong careers. Barbara graduated in 1961 from Weleetka High School. Her grandma taught her how to make clothes as a young girl, and she practiced that skill to create her own prom dress for the special night.

Barbara provided a home environment of nurturing and teaching for her children as they grew. She continued to make outfits from time to time, and also dabbled in the craft of pottery, ceramics, and crochet. Barbara and her family enjoyed traveling, outdoor activities like camping and fishing, and gardening. As her children grew, Barbara returned to the workplace. She helped with the Stella pump and supply well water company and was a sales associate for Conoco where she ultimately retired from in 2002 following a stroke. Her favorite position was as a listing manager for a company called "Handy Man."

Barbara and husband David created many special memories over their married years. They enjoyed watching movies together especially Western movies, and listening to various music like classical, country, Peruvian and Indian flute music. Barbara found joy in creating pine needle baskets, Swedish weaving, and taking care of her cats. Once the grandchildren came along, she always wanted them to visit and spend time together. They referred to themselves as "birders," as they took pleasure in bird watching and studying the various species that visited them. Barbara's family will hold dear to the many memories and special times shared together.

Barbara Rudolph is preceded in death by son Shane and sister Jeanette. She is survived by her husband David; children Kathy, Wesley, Robert, Ashley, and Chris; grandchildren Raymond, Jason, Aaron, Ashley, Carson, Abbi, Brooklyn, Lauren, Nick, Connor, Shannon, Bridget, Brittany, Rebecca, Colton, Kyle, and Brad; great-grandchildren Ethan, Haylee, Raeden, Emily, and Leo; sister Doris; and many other who will miss her dearly.
