Annette Turner Obituary

Annette (Belyeu) Turner, lifelong resident of Yukon, OK, passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 89. Annette was born on December 18, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Ok to Mary and John Sterling Belyeu.

She was raised in Yukon alongside her sister Marilyn and many cherished cousins.

Annette met John Turner on a blind double date with her sister and future brother-in-law. They married on February 14, 1958, in Yukon, OK, beginning a marriage that would last 39 years. The two were blessed with three children Michelle, Pamela Susan, and John Sterling. She was devoted to the Lord and her family.  She was a loving and nurturing mother, a good listener, and someone who brought joy and laughter into everyday life. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson, who knew her as a source of warmth and encouragement.

Known for her remarkable gift of cooking, Annette found joy in hosting and entertaining.  Her kitchen was a gathering place and she ministered to others through love, prayer and food.  There was always a seat at her table.  Her hospitality touched the lives of countless friends and family.

Annette’s deep faith guided every part of her life.  She taught Sunday School and VBS, sang in the choir, and was active in the women’s auxiliary.  At Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, she served as a small group leader of Women of the Word and faithfully shared her love of Christ with others.

She is survived by her children: daughter Michelle Turner; daughter Pamela Jackson and husband, Travis (her favorite son-in-law); son John Turner and wife, Wendy (her favorite daughter-in-law); grandchildren: Jeff Jackson and wife, Brooke; Raegan Jackson; Andrew Turner; Jacob Turner; and Avery Turner; great-grandson Finn Turner; cousin, Linda Fike; niece, Lynette Farrand; nephew, Doye Jernigan; and many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Ruty Coyle and Abby Hyde for their generous friendship over the past 2 1/2 years. We are also deeply thankful to Amber and Amanda with Integris Hospice for the gentle and compassionate care they provided.

Annette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Turner; her parents, Mary and John Sterling Belyeu; sister, Marilyn Jernigan, and husband, Doug; and her infant sister.

Annette will be remembered for her devotion to family, her hospitality, her steadfast faith, and the countless lives she touched with kindness and love.
