In Loving Memory of Annamma Abraham ("Lillykutty")
Annamma Abraham, affectionately known as Lillykutty, was born on November 21, 1941, to Annamma Thomas and Thomas Thomas of Kuttupuzha Kodumbazham in Kuranchery, Kerala. She completed her early education at St. Thomas School, Kuranchery, and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree. In 1964, she married A.V. Abraham, lovingly known as Avarachayan, at Thellyoor Salem Marthoma Church, and the couple began their life together in Rourkela, Orissa.
In 1965, Lillykutty came to salvation, was water baptized by Pastor Ittarcy Kurian Thomas, and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Her unwavering faith in God became the foundation of her life, influencing every chapter and decision she made.
While in Rourkela, Lillykutty worked as an Administrative Assistant at Ispat General Hospital under Rourkela Steel Plant. For 26 years, she and her husband opened their home to host weekly church services under the leadership of the Rourkela Church of God. She passionately taught Sunday School and was deeply devoted to studying and memorizing scripture.
The couple was blessed with three children while living in India. In 1991, they immigrated to the United States, where Lillykutty pursued certification as a medical transcriptionist from Canadian Valley Technology. She also worked at Seagate and Lucent Technology between 1995 and 2000.
Lillykutty had a love for cooking, gardening, and stitching her own clothing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and sharing stories of faith and family history. She was deeply committed to grounding her family in the word of God, leaving a legacy of faith and scripture. Together with her husband, she opened their home to countless servants of God and faithfully served her family and community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Annamma and Thomas Thomas, and her brother, Kunjumon Thomas. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, A.V. Abraham ("Kunjuavarachayan"), her children Annie Koshy, Finey Abraham, and Rennie Abraham, along with her son-in-law Vergis Koshy and daughters-in-law Bincy Abraham and Annie Abraham. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Geena and Jobin Koshy, Rhea, Christina, Alisha, Joel, Serena, Grace, and Ryan Abraham.
On February 1, 2025, Lillykutty entered the gates of heaven, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and strength. She will be remembered as a pillar of her family and community and as a living example of unwavering trust in the Lord. Her life was a testament to God's faithfulness and a source of inspiration for all who knew her.
