Amminey George was born in Ezhumattoor, Kerala, India on November 27th, 1934 to the late A.G. Abraham and late Mariamma Abraham Attachril family, Varyannur.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Abraham George, who passed away in February 1993. She is survived by her brother, who currently resides in Edmondton, Canada, who continues to carry forward their family's legacy.
She accepted Jesus as her personal savior and got baptized in the 1940s. Amminey's love for the Lord was not just spoken - it was lived. She led by example, showing us what it means to walk in faith, to forgive, to serve, and to trust in God's promises even during life's difficult moments. Her Bible was worn, not from age, but from use. She constantly prayed for her family. The blessings from these prayers have been felt across the generations.
God blessed Abraham and Amminey George with five children. Rajamma Abraham, Aby George, Jessy Mathew, Joyce Varghese and Kenny George. She has eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was known for her wonderful cuisines, like palappam, vattayappam, fish curry and cutlets. She loved to cook these special items, especially for her grandchildren. After she got married, she settled in Malaysia for 18 years and then moved to Kerala before moving to the United States with her husband in 1981 to live with her children in both Dallas and Oklahoma. She finally settled in Oklahoma. She was an active member of The Crosspoint Church, formerly known as First Indian Pentecostal Church, for many years and continued to attend if her health allowed.
One of the most remarkable aspects of her life was her courageous battle against cancer. With unwavering faith in God, she faced this challenge with bravery, dignity, and hope.
She was the heart of her family - steadfast, loving and always present. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched. Amminey's quiet acts of love, her humility, and her joyful spirit will not be forgotten. Her life was a testament to the scripture she held dear: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
As we say goodbye, we find peace knowing that Amminey is now in the presence of the Lord she greatly loved so dearly. Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate her life - a life well-lived, full of faith, love and purpose. Her memory will remain with us always, a life that continues to guide us forward.
We, the family, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our church, friends, relatives, and everyone else for their prayers, love and support during this difficult time.
