Allen Ray Lamb, a beloved father and dedicated craftsman, passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 83 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on June 1, 1942, in Logan, Kansas, Allen grew up in Phillips County, where he attended high school before serving in the Army, receiving an honorable discharge in February 1963.Known for his love of speed, Allen had a passion for driving race cars, a hobby that brought him great joy until a hurricane disrupted his life in St. Augustine. After returning to Kansas, he met and married Gloria Jean Alger in April 1966. The couple eventually made their home in Oklahoma City, where Allen dedicated over thirty years to building and maintaining aircraft, leaving a lasting mark on the airline industry.Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie and Betty and his wife, Gloria Jean Lamb. He will be remembered fondly by friends and family alike, as he touched many lives with his warmth and humor. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Allen's life will be honored with a Gathering of friends and family on Tuesday July 15th, 2025 from 11:00AM- 12:00PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner. A Graveside service will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
