Alice Marie Hookom passed away on May 6, 2025, in Piedmont, OK at the age of 88.
Alice was born to parents Nora and Carl Naggetz on March 6, 1937 in Glenvil, Nebraska. She was raised in the country in Wyoming alongside her siblings Norma, Wanda, and Dodie where she attended school. Alice graduated with the Cheyenne High School class of 1955.
Alice married Don Hookom and the two married celebrating a life together for over 50 years. In their younger years, they enjoyed square dancing as a couple and having family gatherings. They were blessed with three children Michael Dean, Cody Williams, and Kathy Jo. Alice was not only a mother but a friend to her children. One of her favorite roles was being Grandma to her five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her grandchildren loved spending time with her because she always cooked delicious food and spoiled them. Most of all, they loved that she wanted to spend quality time with them.
Throughout Alice's life, she was known for her being a selfless woman who always put others needs before her own. Her favorite past time was reading, doing puzzles, watching television, and enjoying a good nap.
Alice worked as a Payroll Clerk for five decades. She had a work ethic that was second to none and was beloved by her employers. It was her goal to provide a good life for her family, and she did just that. Alice will be missed by all who loved her dearly.
Her family would like to extend a special thanks to her son in law for many years Peter Hayes and wife Angela as well as Suncrest Hospice for their compassionate care over the years.
Alice was survived by her son Mike Hookom; son Cody Hookom and wife Susasn; daughter Kathy Hayes; grandchildren Matt Hookom and wife Emily, Caleb Hookom, Chad Neiman and wife Shiane, Caitlyn Stephenson and husband Jordan, Mallary Hayes; great grandchildren Belle, Luke, Pharra, Riahtta, Tamus, BB, John, Ella, Dutton; sister Wanda Bauchman; sister Dodie Cox and husband Dwayne; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents Nora and Carl Naggetz and sister Norma Gallant.
