Albert "Rex" Holub passed away February 4, 2026 in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 80. Rex was born on November 12, 1945, in Mooreland, Oklahoma to parents, Albert and Willa Holub. He grew up in Enid, Oklahoma, where he attended high school and graduated with the Class of 1963.
After high school, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University, earning a degree in aeronautical engineering, a field that perfectly matched his love of airplanes. He especially enjoyed flying Cessna planes and found great joy and freedom in the skies.
In 1966, Rex entered the United States Army where he earned the Sharpshooter badge, reflecting his discipline and dedication. He was then released from active duty and served in the Army National Guard for five years.
Rex was a Father, Grandfather, Brother, and a cherished resident of Yukon, Oklahoma for many years. He will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, his lifelong fascination with flight and a faith that quietly guided his life.Rex is survived by son, Shawn and wife Cora; his grandchildren, Lilian, Noah, Vivian, and Chloe, who brought him immense pride and joy; his son-in-law JP Jankas; his brother, Gene Holub and wife, Margaret. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Willa Fern Holub, and his beloved daughter Alanna Jankas.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral services to honor Rex's life will be held Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 2:00pm at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Yukon Cemetery in Yukon, Oklahoma.
