Myrtle Hildebrand Obituary

Myrtle Claire Hildebrand, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 29th, 2019 in Yukon, OK. She was born on December 17, 1928 in Vevay, Indiana to Henry Fredrick Baatz and Maud Verne Baatz. She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel James Hildebrand. She was a loving mother to her three children, an outstanding grandma/mee-maw/nanny to her seven grandchildren, and a caring great-grandmother to her eleven great grandchildren. Myrtle worked as a punch press operator at Western Electric for 32 years and was able to retire in 1985. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an ornery side that always brought laughter to others. She was generous, strong, fiercely independent, and had boundless grit. She loved traveling, fishing, camping, and spending time with her loved ones. She was truly a person to admire and will be missed by everyone that knew her. Myrtle is survived by her three children Tony Hildebrand, Michael Hildebrand, and Brenda Milam, as well as her significant other Leon Hand. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 3rd at Ingram, Smith & Turner Funeral Home, and anyone who would like to celebrate her life is welcome.
