Lloyd Wayne Lewis, age 86, of Yukon, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Born February 12, 1933, in Marlow, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Samuel S. Lewis and Lessie J. (Medcalf) Lewis.
Lloyd attended Marlow High School and was a star track and football player. After graduating, he joined the United States Navy and served during the Korean Conflict on the U.S. Tucker. He met his wife Bette (McCown) and was married September 20, 1958. Lloyd moved with his family to Trinidad, Peru, Wyoming, Louisiana, and Oklahoma over the course of his career in the oil field. He loved to roller skate, ride motorcycles, fly remote-control airplanes, take care of his yard & animals, watch O.U. football, and spend time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Lessie, his brothers Stanley Lewis, Mark Lewis, & John Lewis, sister LaVeta Hargett, and his beloved wife Bette. Lloyd is survived by his brother Murril Lewis of Marlow, OK, his son Ricky DeLong of Kilgore, TX, his daughter Kathy Passarelli & her husband Mike, of Yukon, OK, his grandchildren Trinette Leidy, Justin Delong, Courtney Hooker, Kristina & Lindsay Mitchell, Alicia Lewis, and Joseph Passarelli; along with several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner in Yukon, OK on Friday, January 10, 2020, with funeral services Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Burial will at the Marlow Cemetery in Marlow, OK at 2:00 PM.
