John Richard Epperson

John Richard Epperson entered Heaven's gates on November 22, 2019, at the age of 72. John was born to parents Donald Epperson and Virginia Epperson on November 5, 1947, in Caney, Kansas. He grew up in Bartlesville, OK, and loved to race cars. He met his wife Debbie Epperson and they were married on June 5, 1971. Throughout John's life, he was known for his love for race cars and model trains. He worked as a clerk in accounting for over 40 years. John was a devoted Baptist and his hobbies included watching NASCAR and Indy Car, and reading magazines. John will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.

John Richard Epperson is preceded in death by parents, Donald and Virginia Epperson, and sister-in-law, Ramona Foster. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Epperson; sister, Charlene Halligan; sister-in-law Darlene Galyon and Theresa Mayes; nieces Darla Galyon and Tiffany Mayes; nephews Phillip Galyon & wife Mechelle, Scotty Galyon & wife Kim, Greg Foster & wife Dana, & Tyler Jester, along with numerous great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Ranchwood Nursing Home and Physician's Choice Hospice for all their care for John during this difficult time. John's life will be remembered on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 11:00 am at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
