Green Burial

Green Burial, or Natural Burial is a way to care for your loved one with minimal environmental impact.  It allows the physical body to return to the earth naturally without using containers to protect the body.  Visitation may take place in the funeral home or in an approved home environment within the first 24 hours before refrigeration or embalming is required, per Oklahoma state law. Embalming is not required, but it is offered if the family desires an extended public viewing. If embalming is desired, a formaldehyde-free, bio-friendly solution will be used.  The body, either unembalmed or embalmed, will be placed in a biodegradable shroud or casket for burial in a “green cemetery” or “natural burial ground” for those who wish for an environmentally-friendly burial. This option makes it possible for end-of-life choices to mirror the loved one’s value system they had during their life.

• Natural Burial without embalming
• Embalm with a formaldehyde-free, bio-friendly solution if desired
• Preserve natural habitat with shroud or biodegradable, eco-friendly casket made of bamboo or seagrass
• Optional full tribute service with or without viewing, or a peaceful outdoor graveside gathering
